across salt marshes north of
San Francisco Bay
cloud soft grays
blues little fuzzies
illusion structures -- pale blue of the edge,
sky behind,
hawk dipping and circling
over salt marsh
ah, this slow-paced
systems of systems, whirling and turning
a five-thousand-year span
about all that a human can figure,
grasshoper man in his car driving through.
