a fisherman's shack . . .

on a fisherman's shack in amagansett, ny ,
there was a small sign that said ' guests '
 the shack is now  gone . . . replaced by a fancy 
$2.000.000 summer mansion
which stands along with hundred's others like it. . .

  all  have sprouted at record speed
in the sand dunes of amagansett village
all facing the atlantic ocean.

what remains of the shack is this painted grey sign 
on a narrow piece of wood . . .  i had the chance to be
on site the day  before the shack was destroyed. . .
i kept it with me so something of the fisherman's
house would be remembered.
